Hi everyone.

There is a lot of characters spread over posting dates, and Cizzler and I have been asked about it a number of times. Therefore, I'd like to take this opportunity, not only to answer a couple of outstanding questions, but also to organise things a little.

As I am sure you can all understand, Cizzler and I don't want to tie anyone down saying "you can do this" or "you can't do that." However, sometimes, this is unavoidable. We try to keep all members within a certain set of posting dates for three reasons:

1. Characters don't get left behind, so can't take part in things.
2. Characters don't get too far ahead, and therefore create continuity errors when we announce site wide events.
3. A wide spread of dates makes it more difficult for newer characters to post with a variety of members.

Usually, we work on a roughly 20 day spread, so, beginning of the month to the middle, or the 10th of the month to the end of the month, or the 20th of the month to the 10th of the next month. This works generally quite well.

However, over the last couple of months, due to a number of reasons (some of our own making.) This spread has shifted, creating a rather large gap.

As such, please be aware that we will not be accepting ANY threads after the 20th December until other characters have caught up to the 10th December. Cizzler and I are prioritising all our outstanding plots, and are working hard to catch our own characters up to this date, and we hope that all members will make the same effort.

This limit will be in effect until all active characters have caught up. Cizzler and I will be keeping a close eye on activity for this precise reason. If characters in outstanding threads are not posted with, these threads will be locked in order to move the board forward. Any threads found set after 20th December will be asked to be re-dated.

Here is a list of all active characters, once a character is only in threads on 10th December and later, please reply here with their name and they will be moved to the Post 10th December list.

Please also note that characters on hiatus have been excluded from this list.

I'm super organized, so I think this is an awesome idea! For those with characters who have not had a thread in awhile and need to catch up by starting a new thread, do you recommend that these threads be started post December 10th?

Hey Andy,

Yes, I would recommend that characters who have not posted in a while begin with dates on or after December 10th.

However, if there is a specific need for a thread between the 1st and 10th of December, that will be absolutely fine while people with plots set earlier catch up. biggrin.gif

Please let us know where abouts your characters are in terms of posting dates.

You need to take the furthest back. So, say your character is in two threads, one on the 4th and one of the 15th December, you need to take the 4th.

Shane Verzilli - November 28 (With Clara Hilty, the next recent is Dec. 10)

Callen Uttridge - December 10 (Caught up!)

Jo Boscana - December 3 (with Zachary Knowles; the next recent is Dec. 11)

Edit: Hey, it looks like my characters are on the right spots on the list already! smile.gif I'll post here when Shane and Jo finish their threads.

Alix can be moved to the on/after the 10th. Her earliest thread now is on the 10th.

Darren and Ray are currently without threads, but any new ones will be set after the 10th.

Update on the Posting Dates

This has taken much longer than expected, but we are closer to having all threads within the same period, meaning that hopefully, we will soon be able to open up the rest of the dates.

Due to only a small number of threads now before December 10th, I am putting a new activity rule up.

Threads not replied to within 10 days will be locked and will not be reopened.
This activity rule will only be applicable to threads set before December 10th.

We want to move forward with the plot, and at the moment, long gaps between posting in some areas are holding us at a standstill. This rule will be enforced by staff until all characters are within the December 10th to December 20th dates.

We will no longer be accepting new threads for before December 10th.

Any threads created for before December 10th as of today (28th March) will be asked to be altered to a later date. If the date is not altered within 7 days, the thread will be locked.

We do not want to be harsh about this, nor do we want to limit members creativity and enjoyment of the site. However, we really want to move forward with a number of plots, and we don’t want the month posting dates spread we had before, which limits what can be done for people further behind.

These are the threads that are still in the Pre-Dec 10th and will therefore be subject to the new activity rule.
Bram Harker & Eridian Scarlett – ‘Dinner Date
Felicity Lockhart & James Harper-Flynn – ‘Silver Lining

Now Finished.
Leigh Delaney & Edward Knox – ‘A Hand to Help
Georgianna Lennox, Keiran Zanetti, Beck Casey – 'Eighth Time Lucky
Logan Ryder & Dimitri Zakhaev - ‘Friends with a Monster
Anya Wilder & Sam Kerr – ‘Things could be worse
David Prince & Armitage – ‘Favour and a Good Name
Agnessa Menshikov & Cedric Black - ‘Sheep in Wolf's clothing
Dante Webb & Madelaine Thorpe - ‘Off the Leash

Once these threads have been completed, we will open up more dates later in December… which means, Christmas and New Years will open, and staff have some exciting stuff planned to go down.
