A character's job can tell a lot about them as a person, or maybe they completely hate their job because it's not right for them? Either way, jobs can be very influential.

Here are some suggestions for employment and positions for both Human and Adveni characters.

Human employment is now limited, and is mostly the 'no training needed' sort of work. Menial labour and physical jobs are more the norm now. These are not the only jobs available, it is just a selection to make it easier.
Obviously, your character could have done anything before the take over, but most of those jobs now wouldn't pay for a human.
Some work requires humans be registered, while other work can be done with fake papers.

Construction: While there are those in the city still fighting, the Adveni are building new buildings and structures. If you know the right people or you can get fake papers the foreman will accept and not ask questions, you can get around without registering.
Unlimited places available

Market Stall Vendor: If you have something to sell, whether it's food, old stuff you've managed to find/steal, or even things you've made like clothes, you can sell it on the market (Either Javeknell Square or St John's Market in the Oprust District.)
Unlimited places available

Shop Owner: There are still shops running, especially the necessities like bakers, butchers, etc. Would definitely need to be registered to own a property.
10 places available

Shop worker: Permanent work is great, even if it's something like working in a shop. Humans wanting this type of position would need to be registered.
Unlimited places available

Electricity/Water company workers: All the higher positions have been taken over by Adveni, but the menial jobs are still available for humans. Must be registered.
Unlimited places available

Barstaff/Waiting Staff: The Rion district is filled with restaurants and bars. While most of these establishments will only serve Adveni, the staff serving them are still mostly human. Humans wanting this type of position would need to be registered.
Notable Locations to work:
Crisco
Equinox
The Nag's Head
Crowe Bar
Beans Coffee Shop

Laundrette Owner: With electricity and water expensive for human homes, a laundrette owner could make a great deal of money, especially if they rigged the machines not to take coins, but a code. Would need to be registered to own the property.
2 places available

Binmen/Street Cleaners: The Adveni aren't going to do something as low as that. Would need to be registered to work for Adveni full time.
Unlimited places available

Electrician: Whether you work for the Adveni, or for yourself, electricity can be very helpful, and those who know how to fix problems in it, incredibly useful. Registration depends on whether working for Adveni, or taking odd jobs.
4 places available

Mechanic: Most people don't own cars any more, but some do, and they need them kept in good working order. Registration depends on whether working for Adveni, or taking odd jobs.
5 places available

Seamstress: If you know how to make clothes, you'll be incredibly popular. Does not need to be registered.
Unlimited places available

Carpenter: Whether it's fixing furniture or creating new furniture from scratch, this is a useful skill. Does not need to be registered.
Unlimited places available

Compound employee: Whether it be working in the kitchens, cleaning the public areas, or working in the laundry, you can make an honest living working in the compound. Must be registered.
10 places available
