General Personality:
Meeting Barclay and knowing what he does, most people expect a vicious, cold, hunter... or a robot, which Barclay thinks would be infinitely cooler. When they actually meet him, however, they realise that the young Tsevstakre is actually a pretty nice guy who just happens to love and be really dedicated to his job.

You wouldn't expect it, but the kid is actually a bit of a geek. He enjoys hearing bad jokes, even if sometimes he doesn't understand the human ones. He is a pretty decent guy... he just happens to hunt people down and kill them for a living.

He's a puppy... a puppy that kills on command.

History

Whoever said that Adveni don't get their parent's reputation handed down to them was talking crap, at least in Barclay's opinion. He's spent his entire life fighting the reputation of his father, an Adveni escapee who raped his mother. All throughout his childhood, his family insisted on treating him 'just the same' as their other children, what little time his parents spent with him anyway, though their insistence that Barclay was 'just the same' only made the separation between them all the wider to him.

He spent his childhood studying and training harder than everyone else, doing his best to prove that he would not be a deadbeat like his father. As such, he received the highest grades, but he still felt like it wasn't good enough. He wouldn't be considered the same as other Adveni children until he had done better than each and every one of them.

This feeling of insignificance only intensified when Barclay was 11 and his half brother failed to get through Tsevstakre training, instead having to take up a position in the Agrah, continually mocked for his failure. Barclay swore that this would never happen to him and he would bring his mother's side of the family back. He would get through his Tsevstakre training.

Barclay took his Nsiloq at seventeen, desperate to start on his path, but holding out just long enough that he knew he'd be able to withstand the pain. It was excruciating, a pain he had never experienced before (despite getting an older friend to draw designs on him with the invisible setting used for torture.) But he just about made it through.

Accepted into the Tsevstakre program, Barclay began his training and passed everything he was given. Six months ago he was moved to Earth for the final stages of his training, which he has only just passed.
